A couple of people chimed in with different ideas on how to make money on Pinterest but the standout one was starting a blog. At the time, I didn't know anything about blogging so I stuck to affiliate marketing.

I then joined a couple of affiliate marketing programs where I made a couple of hundreds of dollars all while documenting the growth of the Pinterest account I was publicly building and sharing the strategies I was using to grow so quickly.

While affiliate marketing was going great, the account kept growing at a rapid rate and I realised I was missing out on a lot of money by not converting the 1,000,000 monthly views the account now had into outbound clicks to a blog.

Armed with a lot of nudging from people on the message board to start a blog, my 1,000,000 monthly views, curiosity/equal parts skepticism about whether I could actually make money from a blog using Pinterest traffic and YouTube university, I finally started a blog.

Six months and 10,000 page views later from Pinterest to my blog, I realised I had been loosing money from the jump by not monetising my Pinterest numbers. After 10 long months, I made my first $100 from Google Adsense.

A little under a month later- approximately 11 months since buying my domain name and setting up my blog- I joined Mediavine. It is here that Pin Your Way To Conversions was born.

Soon, $100 in 10 months turned to $500 months, $1000 months, the famed $10,000 months and eventually $100,000+. Numbers I never thought would be possible but were now made possible by Pinterest & Google.
